TYBA Online is a virtual image bank developed using the resources of TYBA Agência Fotográfica, created in 1991 by the photographers Claus Meyer, Ricardo Azoury, and Rogério Reis. The agency was named TYBA, a suffix used in the Tupi indigenous language that means "a lot of". Added to the end of a name, it connotes a collective idea, for example "kuri" = pine tree while "kuri-tyba" = pine tree forest.
Our collection of nearly 800,000 photographs, for the most part dealing with Brazilian themes, is constantly being updated with photographs from our group of A-list professional photographers. Have a look at the map which shows.
